Importance of Meetings

From the past few days, I have been regularly attending the meetings as an Intern with ColoredCow.I have been really learning a lot from these meetings. Today  I want to share with you how Meetings are important for improving ourselves.

Meetings provide a way to Build Relationship:

Building a relationship in my experience is working together in a deterministic and trustworthy manner by knowing each other's Importance and focusing on a common goal to achieve or deliver something. So we all three interns are following this strategy and us recently with the help of ColoredCow has organized a Meetup for UX/UI Practice Exercise and we(1st year,2nd year,3rd year) all were working together with a common goal and while communicating with each other we were exchanging our ideas and thoughts and this what somehow a relationship has been established between us which will last forever with message of giving something back to the society you have taken from it. Meetings help us feel included, trusted, as well as providing us the opportunity to contribute to the success of our common goals.

Meetings provide a platform for Communication:

While attending Meeting I learn a lot from Mentors and internmates. It provided me a vision of sharing my ideas in a positive manner. It has been helping me in improving etiquette and developing skills of professionalism. So it provides me a platform for exchanging thoughts in a logical, emotional and credible manner. It is teaching me how to collaborate with other people and shares my ideas, learns from other meeting attendee's experiences. Feedbacks reflected from the meetings help me to keep lines of communication open after the meeting to ensure the action items are completed.

Meetings help in Improving Management Skills

While organizing meetings we are collecting various ideas about the venue and who will lead the meeting and before that we always find us discussing the agenda, and new ideas we have to propose. During the UI/UX practice exercise meeting, It's was a learning experience about how we can have a centralized meeting with large numbers of people. And there were some technical issues during the meeting but we don't lose hope and every time we try to tackle it and that session was concluded with flying colors. Meeting really teaches me how to Improve time management skills from the phase of sending the meeting invitation to attending the meeting on time and completing all the agenda on time. It itself reflects a beautiful message of how in a short time interval we can discuss various things...
